When pricing our work, we consider a number of factors:
1. What type of work do you need doing?
2. How complex are your products?
3. How many products do you want us to work on?
4. How quickly do you need the results?
This involves checking your labels against all relevant legal pack copy requirements for the countries and channels in which you sell.
We focus on the legal complexities and provide risk-based advice and interpretation of the regulations.
We charge a price per product, depending on complexity.
Discounts are available if you want us to work on a range of multiple products so long as that’s clear when we start the project.
If products within a range are very similar – differing by no more than 3 ingredient changes – discounts are also available.
If changes have been made to artwork or labels which we have already worked on, a ‘recheck’ can be made for a fee of around 60% of the original artwork fee. We don’t charge you to do it again from scratch.

A pack copy forms part of the bridge between your product specification and your final label. It collates all the mandatory information required for your artwork such as your product’s name, ingredients, storage instructions, and other requirements.
By optimising your pack copy, you can streamline the process of artwork and label creation, especially when selling into multiple markets.
Fees include the 1st review label check

Your customers and distributors will ask for specifications and data sheets and they can be a lot of work to pull together, especially if you don’t have a lot of experience. We can check your data sheets/supply chain and provide accurate product information at the specification stage. We’ll complete all relevant areas of the data sheet specification and liaise with your suppliers, labs, manufacturers and packaging companies.
If you’re selling to a retailer who has their own specification requirements, call us to discuss what we can do to help you with those too.
These days consumers expect to see at a glance what’s in their packaged food and legislation protects their right to get honest, clear and un-misleading data about fats (including saturates), Protein, Carbohydrates (including sugars) as well as fibre and salt (and sodium) contents.
We provide Group 1 and Group 2 nutritional information, tabulated for both 100g and typical portion sizes.
We also draw up Quantitative Ingredient Declarations – so called ‘QUIDs’ - which list the ingredients in an approved order and at a regulated level of detail. We highlight the allergens in your ingredient list.
We advise on the legality of your product names (what you can and can’t call a product), and advise on the mandatory information required for both your product and, if appropriate, your website product listings.
Strange as it might sound, Georgina loves doing Nutritional Profiles so catch her on a good day and she’ll give you a good price! And if you have lots that need doing, discounts are available.
If you are looking to profile food supplements, functional foods or novel foods, the above information is not sufficient to meet regulatory requirements. In this instance, we recommend lab testing, which we would be happy to organise for you with a trusted testing laboratory.
HFSS stands for High in saturated Fat, Salt and Sugar. Health initiatives are trying to encourage consumers to eat less HFSS foods and retailers are being encouraged to reduce the promotion of such foods.
We can create your HFSS profiles for you. This is a relatively inexpensive add-on to some of our other services.
Some products are simpler and quicker for us to work with. Higher complexity creates greater costs and is reflected in our pricing.
Please be clear with us about your complexity so we can provide you with the most appropriate prices.
The above matrix shows our complexity range
Urgency
We routinely aim to turn around your request in 3-5 days, depending on the volume and complexity of your request.
If your work is not urgent, please tell us at the time of commissioning and we may be able to offer discounts if delaying your request would help our logistics.
If you need faster turnaround – which means we work evenings and weekends or cancel other plans to meet your requirements – we charge a 50% premium to deliver in 48 hours and a 100% premium for 24 hours. This is subject to agreeing to terms and targets when you commission the work
We offer discounts for work on multiple products. Where the numbers are particularly high, (for example more than 20) we may need to ask you to prioritise which products and services you want done first as we are a small company.
Multiple products of similar type with just a few (up to 3) ingredient changes should all be briefed at the same time.
